Supermileage Files Online:

Seth sent me this rough draft of the E-85 proposal. It's not editable and the numbers still need to be filled in.
Zach sent me this rough draft of the Stock Car proposal. He has the original file in open office.

Also, here is a link to the drawings of the new car (E-85) proposal.

  1. -Extension # should be #256
-Make sure all group members are listed.
-Think of a vehicle name without a tobacco/drug/alcohol/dirty reference.
-20" front wheels (its not listed in the proposal)
-Probably explain how you are going to attach the steel chassis to the aluminum body frame.
-Is the body going to be polycarbonate? If so, list it as polycarbonate rather than "plastic". If we change the material we can include it as a modification to the design proposal at a later date.
-Overall it looks good, make those edits and we should have something we can submit.

  2. The comment above was in reference to the stock proposal.
-For the e-85 proposal do the same for the extension # and the group members.
-The aluminum square tubing is 1/8" thick and measured that way, no gauge, just simply 1" aluminum square tubing, 1/8" wall thickness.
-For right now I would just submit the drive train (chain, sprocket, etc) as being the same as the previous vehicle. We can change it later. There are some cool on-line calculators for gear ratio and top speed of the vehicle. But for right now I would just go with what we did in the past, and if we change it we can submit the modifications.
-Have a person sit in the driver's position and determine where the roll bar and firewall will be in relation to the front of the vehicle. We just need to have an idea at this point.
-For costs, I would put, your first category at $700, second category (the engines) at $150, using, point out that you are modifying a previous year's engine, and third category at $150.
-Pretty sure you need to include engine modifications for the E-85 class. You can find the guide for how to modify one of the engines on the supermileage website: http://www.mtea.net/supermileage/other/e-85.htm
